The Fugitive

The Fugitive was released in 1993 and directed by Andrew Davis. In the film, a world renowned doctor, Richard Kimble, is wrongfully accused of viciously murdering his wife. Richard Kimble is played by fifty year old Harrison Ford. The police say all the evidence points to Richard so he his charged and then convicted with the murder if his wife. While in prison, Richard is being transported to a new prison with a few rather dangerous inmates. The bus that is being used to transport the inmates happens to stall on some train tracks just minutes before a train is scheduled to come barreling through the woodlands of New York. The guards leave all the inmates and officers in the back of the bus for dead, but Richard takes the time to save at least one more person before jumping out of the bus at the last second before the train flattened the bus. Richard makes the ultimate decision to flee the scene of the accident in an attempt to escape and prove that he is innocent of killing his wife. In order to do so he must find a person with one arm that was once one of his patients. It will not be as easy as it seems because the US Marshall is close on his tail. Leading the US Marshall is none other than Deputy Samuel Gerard, played by Tommy Lee Jones, who is tough as dirt and as just as determined as Richard in his mission. Tommy Lee Jones has earned several Best Supporting Actor award due to his performance in this film. The film teaches the viewer of the power resilience to do the right thing as well as the value in which a person places on others will ultimately determine their value to them.
